Turning vision into results is the goal of strategic communications, yet many say that’s hard to do, or even measure. I believe that seeing is believing, and I’m proud of the teams I’ve led or worked with and the results I’ve delivered. Balancing vision with goals and results has been a key to my success.
It starts with a good conversation about what the ultimate goal is, and those discussions can be interesting and exciting. The conversation then leads to target audiences, stakeholders and how they act and interact. Atmosphere i.e. the cultural landscape or political climate that can influence a project, campaign and/or success is considered, and resources usually come up along the way too. These talks are the most fascinating and thought-provoking of my work, as they eventually go to the center where peoples’ minds, and hearts, lie.
